Leila de Lima is the only senator on Kerwin Espinosa's drug list.
Atty. Leilani Villarino told "News To Go" that no other senator was on the list, only Sen. De Lima's name was there.
“According to Kerwin, wala na po. ‘Yun ang sinabi niya, wala na,” she said when asked to confirm news reports saying there were at least two senators Espinosa had implicated in the illegal drug trade.
Whistleblower Sandra Cam had revealed to media that Espinosa will name at least two incumbent senators, along with other high-ranking public officials, who allegedly received drug money from him.
Cam, who claimed to have tipped off Espinosa’s whereabouts, said she personally talked to him while being detained in Abu Dhabi.
On the other hand, Villarino said that no other higher official was named in her client's affidavit.
“Wala naman siyang binanggit and I don’t think meron pa yata,” she said.
Espinosa is set to face the Senate public order committee anew this coming December 5 (Monday), for the continuation of the inquiry on the circumstances surrounding the death of Kerwin’s father, Albuera Mayor Rolando Espinosa, while in police custody.
